March 4 – Domestic Violence and Slashed Tires

Officers responded to Empire Die Casting after a man reported being assaulted by his ex-girlfriend in the parking lot. The victim stated she struck him in the face with an open hand, breaking a portion of his glasses, before producing what he believed was a knife and slashing his tires. Officers observed three flattened tires on his Chevrolet Equinox and heard the distinctive hissing sound of leaking air. The suspect admitted to striking the victim and damaging his vehicle. Both parties coordinated to have a family member take custody of their two-year-old child who was present during the incident.
